just in case you didn't know...

I went to Disneyland last weekend. I, and the lovely Kelly Aceto, felt so inclined as to venture on a "romantic getaway" as we like to call it. I know that I posted all my pictures on facebook already, but I cannot resist the opportunity to briefly cover the highlights of the trip - they are just so many!

This was the very first picture of the day. Before the rambunctious roller coasters and splishy splashy water rides we were cute...and then we got owned. But what else does one expect at Disneyland? Infinite adventures of course.

Just like everyone says, dreams really do come true at Disneyland. I just don't know why, but I have such a love/obsession for Minnie Mouse! Someday I WILL be her for Halloween. With my husband...pah. He will love to be Mickey...I know it.

This is like our postcard Disneyland picture. "Captain Nemo" took it for us...he was the greatest Disneyland photographer there! Thanks Captain for teaching us how to strike a pose...

The Big Bear Rapids ride OWNED us. I seriously looked like I peed my pants 18 times and a giant drop of water managed to fly right into Kell Bell's eyeball...ouchie poo.

Space Mountain: Obviously this is an important moment to remember. I'm going to leave you to your thoughts in regards to this situation...go on. Use your imagination.

On Saturday we went on a precious beach cruise down the boardwalk in Balboa. The weather was absolutely perfect and we even got to have a delicious lunch of chicken fingers and french fries on the beach! Greatest day ever.

My Bffffff Christina. Ah, I was the happiest girl in the world when she decided to come up to Newport and spend the day with us. If I may be so bold I must admit that I was happier to see her than I was to see Minnie! Isn't she such a cute, happy preggo girl?! :)

Basically, my weekend getaway was a dream come true. Road trips are always the best and I'm excited to be back in Cal soon for Tiff and Jay's wedding this summer!! :)

things I want to start doing.

So here I am, laying in bed just listening to some music. My rooms a mess, and I don't want to clean it. I have a paper I could work on, but I don't want to do that either. I could study for my Shakespeare final that is going to dominate me, but guess what? Yup, I don't want to do that either!

Instead, I was thinking about things I do want to do...or to start doing.

  • I want to get up early enough to make my lunches and take them to school or work.
  • I want to stop saying "shoot" "darn" "heck" and all those other words that are just like swearing but without technically swearing.
  • I want to start to like vegetables. I don't know if this will actually happen, but a girl can dream, ya?
  • I want to read more and watch TV less.
  • I want to read a biography on one of the early prophets or apostles of this dispensation.
  • I want to go to bed earlier.
  • I want to emphasize things by using words like "extremely" "incredibly" and "ridiculously". Example: It is so ridiculously hot outside...instead of it is so freakin hot outside. I mean not that its bad to say otherwise, but I just feel like I can improve my way of speaking...right?
  • I want to volunteer
  • I want to cook dinner for my dad and myself more often.
  • I want to never go to a raunchy/Mormon mesa dance party again...ha
  • I want to spend more time with the people that really matter.
  • I want to expand my vocabulary.
  • I want to eat out less and save my money.

After thinking about all of these things I want to do, I now really want to make a summer to do list. Lets collaborate...

quotations.

"When you look in the dictionary for the most important word, do you know what is it? It could be 'remember'. Because all of you have made covenants - you know what to do and how to do it - our greatest need is to remember. ...Remember is the word. Remember is the program."
 President Spencer W. Kimball

"Courage, not compromise, brings the smile of God's approval."
 President Thomas S. Monson

"The most important commandments of God is that one you are having the most difficultly keeping today...Put that aright and then you start on the next one that is most difficult for you to keep."
President Harold B. Lee

"The next time you feel unhappy, remember where you come from and where you are going".
President Deiter F. Uchtdorf

"Faith exists when absolute confidence in that which we cannot see combines with action that is in absolute conformity to the will of our Heavenly Father. Without all three - first, absolute confidence; second, action; and third, absolute conformity. - without these three, all we have is counterfeit; a weak and watered-down faith."
Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

"Ordinances and covenants become our credentials for admission into His presence. To worthily receive them is the quest of a lifetime; to keep them thereafter is the challenge of mortality."
President Boyd K. Packer

"Live your lives according to the principles of the Gospel. You live in an age when there is so much filth. you must not stoop down to that. You must rise above it. You must have the strength to say no and to stand tall. I promise you that if you will do so, those who would otherwise invite you to their kind of living will wish that they too had lived above those things."
President Gordon B. Hinckley

"My experience is that once you stop putting question marks behind the prophets statements and put exclamation points instead, and do it, the blessings just pour."
Elder Russell M. Nelson

"Something is going to be asked of this dispensation that's never been asked before. Those of this dispensation must be ready to present the Church of the Lamb, to the Lamb, and when that happens, we must be looking and acting like His Church. ...Never even look like what we don't believe. ...One who sees the truth must live bearing witness to it."
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

just though I would let you know...

I write papers better when I have Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince playing in the background. I can sit in a silent room for 2 hours and get 2 paragraphs and nearly die of boredom and stress...but the moment Harry Potter is popped into my laptop, the words just flow.

I'm actually taking a break from writing a paper right now...and yes, HP is playing in the background.

I've been having hot flashes today. Am I really a middle aged woman? Shoot...

Yesterday I wanted to die in jeans as the AZ summer began to settle in so I wore a dress today. At least its overcast and windy...

I got a water bottle from the vending machine and this is what I got...

..yes its completely frozen. Why wouldn't it be, right?

Yesterday, Cat and I had an extensive and relatively deep conversation regarding the sex of Earth and Time. And I want you to give you the summary of what we decided...Mother Earth is referred to as Mother because Earth provides life just as women do. And then time must be the father figure because ancient folklore could not possibly support homosexuality...

I'm going to California tomorrow. Disneyland on Friday.

That's all I got for now...

Thank you and adios.

just a few things I've been wondering about...

Why are some of the best tasting foods so bad for you?

Why does Nash pee on my things when he is mad at me? And why does he get mad at me?!

Am I the only one that gets slightly uncomfortable when I see two grown men on a motorcycle?

Is there an explanation for my horribly bad luck?

What is the name of God’s wife…our Mother in heaven?

Why do I continue to go to bed with wet hair when it looks so horrifying when I wake up in the morning?

Is baby Breinholt gonna be a boy or a girl?

And what about Baby Hatton?

When is my future husband going to figure his life out and find me so we can get married?

Even though my Grandma is 101 years old and can’t hear or speak too well, can she still think like a 20 year old?

Why does Disneyland make me so happy that I could cry?

When will my dad get blinds?

What in the WORLD is Nash thinking about all day?
and why is he so stinkin cute?!

Will there be food in the Celestial Kingdom? I know we don’t need it, but it brings so much joy to so many people...

Why did Max pee on my backpack when we were at the park?

Wouldn't it be nice...

...if only I could escape to this beautiful place...

Tricks and morning treats.

I woke up this morning (note I woke up at 7:45 - 30 minutes earlier than I prefer to pretend to wake up) to find my precious Ford Focus Silver Bullet covered in Post-It notes.

I must commend the perpetrators for their patience and diligence with such a task. The sticky notes were placed so perfectly and meticulously upon my preious automobile.

Note the angles at which they were applied to my hood...

They also made sure to get a lil guy right there on the FORD logo.

Beautiful blue little guys were used on this specific section
along with the rear view mirrors.

Don't worry...I recycle.

Well, you dirty little tricksters. You're lucky Papa Dell was sound asleep when this all went down. Thank you for this fancy little morning treat. And thank you for exemplifying such patience as you perfectly placed each post-it note upon my car.

Three years :)

joy.
faith.
endure.
believe.
love.
charity.
humility.
repentance.
Atonement.
scriptures.
eternity.
blessings.
truth.
humility.
forgiveness.
prophets.
meekness.

Since my baptism on April 1, 2007, these have been the principles my life has revolved around. They have been the greatest three years of my entire life. My baptism was such an amazing and powerful day and I am so grateful for everyone and everything that has been and still are such powerful examples to me.

This boy was the one who started it all.
Thanks, Ben, for being an amazing friend and example to me!!

Ben and I right after he baptized and confirmed me.
We're the happiest people in the world at this moment! :)
